TONE PARCEL / REFERENCE PACK 01

Five original synthetic reference signals, 48,000 Hz / 16-bit integer PCM / stereo. Non-silent samples peak at approximately -18 dBFS. Start at low playback volume. These files are not music, field recordings, a hearing test or calibrated acoustic measurements.

channel-check.wav: Left for two seconds, right for two, then both. Listen for the channel change. (8 seconds)
dual-mono.wav: An identical 440 Hz signal in both channels. A simple centre reference. (6 seconds)
polarity-pair.wav: The right channel reverses polarity halfway through. A mono downmix may cancel the second half. (8 seconds)
tone-steps.wav: 220, 440, 880 and 440 Hz, with short fades and a gap between notes. (8 seconds)
digital-silence.wav: Exactly zero-valued samples. Use as a file reference; it does not measure room noise. (4 seconds)
